We are Peter and Louise Burkwood. A husband and wife team that simply love photography. We take great pride in delivering a unique and modern approach to Lifestyle Portraiture and Wedding photography. We do things our way, we don't follow the crowd and we have lots of fun in the process.

Peter has a background in engineering but has always been a keen artist/designer since he could hold a pencil. Peter was also DJ for many years and has over 25 years experience as a graffiti artist and muralist. He has always had a keen interest in photography and has also been widely published both in the UK and abroad.

Louise has been a gymnast, gymnastics coach, dancer and has even appeared on the West End stage! Louise is also a fully Qualified Physiotherapist and awesome mum to our daughter Robyn.

Pictures In Pixels are based in the historic surroundings of Waltham Abbey but cover London, Essex, Herts and the surrounding counties. In fact we travel all over the UK and have even shot weddings abroad.

Butterfly World

Being the summer holidays we’ve been busy entertaining Robyn our daughter. Today that entertainment was Butterfly World just outside of St Albans in Hertfordshire. Usually these places just do enough to entertain a six year old but today was different.

Butterfly World was fantastic! Maybe I am biased due to the amount of great photograph opportunities plus the fact Robyn is a huge butterfly fan. But it really did deliver.

There is so much to see and do and judging by the plans we saw it will only get better and better. Especially when the Biome is complete.
