A while back I was approached to do a Boudoir shoot. That in itself was nothing unusual, but this was for a lady that didn’t fit the standard stereotype for a boudoir shoot that you usually see. It wasn’t the generic skinny girl in underwear looking dead from the neck up. This was a real woman, a real person with personality and curves. The sort of person you would see everyday.
So as I would for many of my shoots I looked around on the web and in magazines for some inspiration and found absolutely nothing. Not even the better known boudoir photographers had covered this topic in their blogs, there wasn’t even a workshop (until I happened to mention it).
The shoot went ahead and I gave my take on what I think would work to the client. The end result being one very happy lady (and Husband) and one very happy photographer (and assistant).
